On a conceptual level, meaningful words can be combined to form imaginative or evocative names. The sound and overall tone of a name can also create specific effects. A brand name may feel strong, playful, serious, trendy, innovative, exclusive, reliable or affordable.<\/p><p data-start=\"1165\" data-end=\"1364\">The overall impact of a name results from the interplay of visual appearance, sound and associations. Doing so often leads to imitating well-known brands and reduces the chances of discovering new, distinctive and truly original names.<\/p><p data-start=\"476\" data-end=\"787\">A more effective approach is to allow for a wide range of directions and ideas before narrowing the focus. At the beginning of the process, it is better not to overload the name with too many predefined requirements. Any sentence that starts with \u201cA brand name must always\u2026\u201d should immediately raise skepticism.<\/p><p data-start=\"789\" data-end=\"1016\">Instead, aim for a name that fits your brand individually \u2014 and avoid doing exactly what many others have already done. We quickly identify which naming niches remain unexplored and where true differentiation is still possible.<\/p><p data-start=\"1018\" data-end=\"1314\">Of course, ideas eventually need to be evaluated, discussed and decided upon. In this final phase of brand naming, the distinctive characteristics defined earlier become key evaluation criteria.
